Aidan Baker is Canadian musician and writer currently based in Berlin, Germany. Jakob Thiesen is a Canadian musician and filmmaker currently based in Toronto, Canada. Both artists create music within the realms of ambient drone music and experimental electronica, their interests converging in a combination of psychedelic soundscapes and propulsive krautrock. Playing together for several years in the trio Whisper Room, Baker and Thiesen have released two collaborative albums to-date, À Bout De Souffle (Waterscape) and Mépris (Interior Massacre), and will be touring in support of a third release in early 2014. Thiesen has also contributed drums to Baker’s solo releases Liminoid/Lifeforms (Alien8 Recordings), The Spectrum Of Distraction (Robotic Empire) and Nadja’s Desire In Uneasiness (Crucial Blast).
