DIVA 2 Drag Show
Das Warten hat ein Ende! DIVA 2 steht in Startlöchern mit einem Cast, der euch umhauen wird! Und diesmal mit Gäst*innen aus dem Ausland ! Let‘s keep on celebrating the DIVAS in showbiz with lots of glam, glitz and eleganza !
Im Februar feierten wir unseren Auftakt und es sind noch zwei weitere Editions in 2024 geplant. Und noch viel mehr!

Am 29.6. ist es soweit, um 20h15 werdet ihr 8 Dragkünstler*innen auf der Bühne feiern können! Der Einlass beginnt bereits um 19h , damit wir pünktlich um 20h15 beginnen können und alle mit Getränken versorgt sind .

Jakuzi & Fritz Ali Hansen
Wir freuen uns sehr Jakuzi (IST) & Fritz Ali Hansen (BE) am 5. Oktober 2024 bei uns im KOMMA esslingen begrüßen zu dürfen.
Istanbul synth-wave vanguards Jakuzi turned heads in 2017 with the release of their debut album ‚Fantezi Müzik,’ showcasing modern Turkish underground music to the world. Beginning modestly on cassette in 2016, the album was successfully reissued in early 2017 by City Slang Records. Since then, Jakuzi has appeared on European stages in cities like Barcelona, Paris, London, and Berlin, as well as major festivals including Primavera Club, Donaufest, Synästhesie, and Pop-Kultur.
Arriving two years after their debut, the second album „Hata Payi” (literally translated as ‘’margin of error”), delves deeper and explores what it’s like to be a young adult growing up in Istanbul, having success and then having to live up to expectations, being an artist in a country that doesn’t necessarily support your work, managing personal relationships and also addressing mental health. ‘Hata Payı’ brings a more refined, darker sound to the surface, exploring the human condition and blends elements of low-fi, new wave, krautrock, and post punk sounds together.
With a recently released single, Jakuzi is gearing up for an eventful 2024 in Europe with an international tour and their third album set to be released this autumn.

Fritz Ali Hansen is a Berlin based musician and songwriter born 2002 in Cologne, Germany, being primarily a self-taught bassist and guitarist. As a musician, Hansen draws primarily from Rock ‘n’ Roll and has been profoundly influenced by bands such as New Order, The Strokes, and Ghost Woman, while specifically as a bassist, the danceable grooves of Funk and Soul à la Sly & The Family Stone, Marvin Gaye, and Prince have also had a strong impact on him. He made his solo-debut in May 2023 with the single ‘Wayside’ on Purple Eternity Records, which was produced and recorded by Francisco Parisi from the London/Berlin based duo Minimal Schlager.
While Hansen is currently touring with the Berlin based art rock/new wave band Hot Couture from 6th to 20th April as their bassist, we are very excited to have Fritz Ali for his debut solo performance at KOMMA Esslingen.

Raketenumschau – Ist es Euphorie?-Tour 2024
„Die Hamburger Schule um Blumfeld und Co hätte jedenfalls in der Raketenumschau einen weiteren Meister gefunden„, schwärmt die Süddeutsche Zeitung. Ob das so hinkommt, wissen nur die Sterne.
Die vier Musiker aus München leisten mit ihrer sperrigen Eingängigkeit jedenfalls einen kleinen Beitrag zur Erhaltung des Kulturerbes „Indie-Rock“.
Nach fünf Jahren intensivem Band-Seins, über 100 mitreißenden Konzerten und knapp 700 Nächten seit dem letzten Release, folgt am 17.05. endlich die neue Single „Rosamunde Pilcher“.
„Ich mach mich sicher nicht unendlich, indem ich ‘nen Indie-Pop-Song schreib“ heißt es im Song, der vielleicht genau das bewirkt. Ein Song, bei dem man den Schweiß eines Konzertes beinahe die eigene Stirn herunterlaufen spürt.
Produziert von Willy Löster (Bruckner, MOLA, LaBrassBanda) und kunstvoll gemischt von
Olaf O.P.A.L (The Notwist, Juli, International Music), ist er räumlich und roh und kommt ohne viel Klimbim aus. Man dürfe nicht zu viel verraten, sagt man, doch es wird nicht bei diesem einem Song bleiben.
